Regina Berkeley graduated from Massachusetts College of Art & Design in 1982 with a BFA in photography. She extended her education with study at the Newport Art Museum, R.I. & the Art Students League, in New York. In addition, Regina has been involved with several Art Associations, and Open Studio venues over the years.
Her artistic life has been varied as she has owned a hand painted clothing business with a nation wide distribution, awarded grants from the French Consulate in Paris & the Massachusetts Art Lottery for her photography.
As Claude Monet, the French Impressionist painter, stated, “Color is my day long obsession, joy and torment.” Regina echos that preoccupation, in both of her artistic mediums, whether behind the lens of a camera or splashing paint onto a canvas.
In 2024 her work was included in the Connecticut Women Artist Exhibition @ Slater Museum, galleries in Boston, Worcester & Chicago. Regina has participated in the 2020 -2023 Massachusetts College of Art & Design Auctions & the 2024 & 2022 Brookline Arts Center Auction. She has had solo exhibits at the French Cultural Center in Boston & the Fogg Museum. She has participated in a juried shows the Prince St Gallery in NYC, at the South Shore Arts Center in Cohasset, MA where her painting was used for the promotion of the exhibition. Her paintings has been viewed at the Danforth Museum, Framingham, Fogg Museum, Cambridge & Newport Art Museum, RI.
